The vision

Die grafische Ausgabe der Stammbäume ist für uns im jetzigen Design ein erster Weg - aber sicherlich noch lange nicht das Optimum. Die komplexen Verzweigungen großer Stammbäume lassen sich kaum zweidimensional darstellen. Denkbar wäre hier die Ausgabe über eine dreidimensionale Sprache wie zum Beispiel VRML.

Our aim is to construct a comfortable system that can provide genealogical trees with few klicks. It's important that we don't only create thousands of individual family trees but also administer the linkages between the systems. Central problems will surely be: what happens with with wrong entries - or even deliberately registered "garbage". This is a system that believes in the care of the users - appropriate correction mechanisms are planned.

The graphic expenditure of the family trees is for us a first way in the current Design - however it is surely not the optimum. The complex ramifications of large family trees can hardly be represented in two dimensions. The expenditure over a three-dimensional language as for example vrml.is conceivably.
